Less than a month ago, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management announced the first of three competitions that it will finance in cooperation with the World Bank. There are two days left until the expiration of the deadline, and according to the data of the relevant Ministry, almost 1000 applications have been received so far for the competition for which fruit growers, winegrowers, vegetable growers and flower producers can apply.
Despite the initial opinion that it is difficult to fill in the application, the farmers still managed to quickly overcome this “obstacle” and in most cases they filled in the applications correctly. In that, they were assisted by the Advisory Services, which is also financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, but also by consulting companies whose labor costs will also be recognized for financing the projects proposed by the producers. According to the analysis of the submitted requests so far, the most interested are vegetable growers and then fruit growers.
For livestock 50 million! These are the conditions and details for applying!
In the next steps, it will be assessed who meets the conditions for the future, and such projects of farmers will be evaluated on the basis of the proposed business plans.
The projects that improve the work of the farm, are environmentally friendly and bring the greatest benefit to producers will be mostly financed. Priority, as mentioned earlier, will be given to women and young people, members of cooperatives and farmers from less developed municipalities.
The next call is expected in July, and it will be valid for cattle breeders, while farmers will be able to apply in September. It is planned to spend 20 million euros for these purposes, and smaller and medium-sized producers who are not able to apply for IPARD funds can apply for the competition.
We checked! Has a 100,000-euro sheep farm paid off?
The competition, which came to life under the name 50:40:10, is actually designed so that the farmer receives pre-approved funds based on the project, so that half of the funds are non-refundable, 40% is financed from a bank loan and under the terms of that bank, and only 10% should have a personal stake.
The first payments of money are expected in October, to fruit growers, winegrowers, vegetable growers and flower growers who were the first to submit requests, while the rest of the money will be received by the end of the year.
They are women of action! Two started a greenhouse business before!
If the trend of abolishing measures related to the current pandemic continues, the representatives of the Ministry will be more in direct contact with farmers in the field, by organizing lectures and pointing out how to achieve incentives in competitions.
