Xiaomi was in Milan for a new European launch event called “Discover Xiaomi 2023”. Still as active, the Chinese manufacturer is not on the Old Continent to present a new smartphone. He takes the opportunity to announce new products that “improve daily life”. As often, some products have already been presented on the Chinese market. This is particularly the case with the Xiaomi Pad 6, the new tablet from the Chinese manufacturer.

Xiaomi Pad 6: the tablet is getting closer to Europe

Presented at the same time as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in China, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is a versatile tablet. It has a thinner and lighter unibody design than the previous version (available in France), and above all closer to the brand’s latest smartphones. The slate has an 11-inch LTPS LCD screen displaying in WQHD+ (2,880 x 1,800 pixels, 309 ppi). The refresh rate goes up to 144 Hz and it supports Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 870 chip signed Qualcomm and an 8,840 mAh battery. The Pad 6 claims up to 16 hours of battery life in video playback and supports 33 W fast charging. On the photo side, there is a 13 MP sensor on the back and an 8 MP front camera for video calls. Xiaomi completes the multimedia part by integrating four speakers for stereo sound compatible with Dolby Atmos.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 is also attacking workers and betting on USB 3.2 Gen 1 for this. The manufacturer mentions speeds of up to 5 Gb / s and a 4K output at 60 fps with the DP interface. This makes it easier, for example, to transfer files to a computer.

Under Android, the tablet works with the MIUI Pad 14 overlay and Xiaomi mentions optimizations. For example, there are new “conference tools”, such as active noise cancellation or centered face tracking during a video call. In addition, the Pad 6 is compatible with the Smart Pen (2nd generation) and the Keyboard keyboard.

Two new scooters

At the same time, Xiaomi completes its Electric Scooter 4 range with the arrival of two new references. The Electric Scooter 4 and 4 Lite are respectively equipped with a 600W and 300W motor for a maximum speed of 20 km/h. The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 has a 7650 mAh capacity battery, delivering up to 35 km on a single charge. This model is capable of climbing slopes of up to 16%.

As its name suggests, the 4 Lite version is lighter and is content with a 5,200 mAh battery. It has a range of 20 km, a drum brake on the rear wheel and the E-ABS stylus on the front wheel. Its big sister has a double action disc brake on the rear wheel and the E-ABS system on the front wheel.

Prices and availability

The Xiaomi Pad 6 will be available in Europe in three colors (Champagne, Gravity Gray and Mist Blue). The manufacturer specifies that prices and availability will be revealed during marketing.

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 and 4 Lite are priced at 549 euros and 399 euros respectively.

Finally, the brand completes its range of robot vacuum cleaners with the Robot Vacuum E12 (199.99 euros), S12 (299.99 euros), S10+ (449.99 euros) and X10 (499.99 euros). For the launch, Xiaomi offers discounts ranging from 20 euros to 50 euros depending on the model chosen.
