The debut of the Maserati Granturismo is getting closer and closer. The Modena sports car will soon join the Trident family by offering a thermal and an electric version. Meanwhile, the tests continue unabated, with one of the prototypes that was spotted by one of our readers. Together with photo of the exteriors, we also have some shots of the interior.
The bodywork of the Granturismo looks truly definitive. Beyond the tailpipes still in the experimental phase, Maserati already shows the shapes of the production model which will resume – especially in the front – the style of the Grecale.
In reality, however, the most important spy photos are those of the cockpit. Also in this case the Emilian supercar appears ready for launch, with seats and dashboard without camouflage. In the shots you immediately notice the double central displaywhose shape is very similar to that of the Grecale.
Also taken from the SUV are the central tunnel and the steering wheel with paddles, while at the top of the dashboard there is the analog clock, a typical feature of all Maseratis. Unpublished, however, the sports seats with headrest integrated into the backrest.
Immediately the V6, then the electric
As for the engines, the adoption of the 3.0 V6 biturbo Nettuno of the MC20 and of the Grecale Trofeo with values around 630 CV and 730 Nm and with an 8-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the arrival in the range of the 2.0 turbo mild hybrid with 300 HP mounted on the new Trident SUV is unlikely.
The presentation of the Granturismo now seems a matter of a few months, if not a few weeks. We will have to wait until 2023, however, for the Folgore, the zero-emission version equipped with three electric motors and a maximum power of over 1,200 hp.
