Many people experienced video conferencing for the first time during work from home. In this, with the help of laptop or smartphone, use tools like zoom app, google meet, skype and hangouts. But how to use these video calling apps on desktop if laptop gets damaged? Because desktops usually do not come with built-in webcams like laptops. But with the ‘drycam’ tool you can do that. Let’s understand in a simple way how it will work.
First of all download the Droidcam app and its client installer from Google Play Store.
Now install them on both smartphone and desktop.
Now connect your Android phone to computer with USB cable. Enable Developers Options on the phone. Then enable USB debugging mode.
After this, open the Droidcam app on the phone and select the rear or front camera according to your need in the settings. This app connects desktop and smartphone over the same Wi-Fi.
Now open the Droidcam client app on the computer and select the second option USB from the top left icon in its user interface. If you want to use phone audio, select that too.
After this, a CMD window will open as soon as you tap on Start.
After a few seconds, your smartphone’s camera will open on the desktop.
