They stole my mail because I didn’t listen to the recommendations of my iPhone in time. Do it right now

The other day, as usual, I started my day by checking my mail. I have several mailboxes, one of which was created many years ago for unimportant mail, like discounts, store offers and other such spam.

True, sometimes interesting letters came across there, allowing you to buy something you need at a discount, or find out about an upcoming concert. In general, the box was necessary.

Why was? Yes, because when I tried to enter it, the service showed me a warning that my password did not match.

After several unsuccessful attempts, I had to admit: my mailbox was simply “hijacked”. It’s good that it was not a work and not a personal box, not so insulting. And what’s really sad is that my iPhone warned me of this dangerand I didn’t listen to him.

How to check and update your passwords

1. Go to Settings -> Passwords

2. Look at the number next to “Security Recommendations»

That is how many passwords from your accounts, mailboxes and other things can potentially already be in the hands of attackers. I currently have 336. three hundred thirty six I can lose accounts from a variety of services at any second.

What do we have to do?

Right now, check how many entries are in the first group called High Priority Recommendations. It contains your passwords, which already stolenare frequently used, or repeated on multiple sites.

They need to be changed first.

You may have to take the time to update all the passwords on this list. But the result will be worth it: you will not lose access to your mail or game accounts at the most unexpected moment.
