According to one district teacher who spoke anonymously to RTL: the money intended for the trip could go to a better place, for example, the local government could buy a color printer or other educational equipment for the schools. The teacher admits that the district keeps the buildings in order, but at the moment the situation is such that the teachers have to buy the chalks and blackboard felts themselves. The given institution has a printer and a photocopier, but the managers do not look favorably on using them a little more, because “you have to save a lot.” Another teacher reported that “it’s not the first time, they travel somewhere practically every year”.

According to MP Zoltán Vajda from MSZP, it is unfortunate and not right to send institution managers and school district leaders on a trip when students and teachers protest on a weekly basis due to the deteriorating quality of education. Péter Kovács, the Fidesz mayor of the district, acknowledged the trip when asked by RTL Híradó, but did not answer how many people traveled, nor how much it cost the municipality.
