They became the first band to top the UK charts with an NFT album

Muse make chart history as they become the first band with a UK No.1 album to be sold in the form of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) – digital certificates of ownership and authenticity.

The rock trio from England’s Devon county achieved the feat with their ninth album, ‘Will of the People’, which was released on August 26th in limited edition with NFT technology, as well as traditional formats, vinyl, digital, cassette and CD.

‘Will of the People’ on NFT has been released to 1,000 copies worldwide by NFT’s eco-friendly platform Serenade, which has partnered with Warner Music UK.

The album on NFT fulfills the demands of the group’s die-hard fans for rarity, exclusive content and community recognition, the Australia-based label said in a statement.

The album sold 51,500 in its first week of release and is at number 1 in the UK Top 10 chart.
