It wanted to be a Lamborghini, but it became a Smart – this is how we could roughly summarize the essence of the cleverly named Smartborghini. At first glance, the car, which gives a rather abstract impression, could be rightly thought to be just an April 1st joke, but in this case the design is light years more demanding than most homemade love children. A Vale Automotive is based on a 2014 but brand new Smart Fortwo, i.e. a two-seater model of the previous generation of Smarts. It was stripped of its roof and various body parts, and replaced by various pieces of a body kit that mimics the style of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

Given that it was mostly used for promotional purposes in the last decade or so, it is not at all surprising that it was not used much, as evidenced by the 82 km odometer reading. It was not clearly revealed what engine drives it, but based on the other parameters alone, Smart’s 1.0-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine seems to be the only rational choice, 71 horsepower here, 92 Nm there.
