On the night before Sunday, May 28, 2023, the Russian occupying forces once again released kamikaze drones over Ukraine. An air alert has been declared in most regions. In a number of regions, in particular, in the Kyiv region, air defense works.

“Kyiv region! The threat of enemy use of unmanned aerial vehicles. Air defense forces are already working! Observe informational silence – do not photograph or film the work of our defenders! Stay in shelters until the alarm ends!” – warned in the Kyiv regional military administration.

At the same time, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported on the work of the Air Defense Forces. Explosions in the capital confirmed and Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko.

“Explosions in Kyiv. The information is being clarified. The details will come later. Air defense is operating in the region, there are targets shot down,” he wrote.

Later, Klitschko added that the explosions rang out from the direction of Zhytomyr. The relevant services went to the place.

As of 02:20, an air alert has been announced in Kyiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne and Chernivtsi regions.

Later, KMVA added that the roof of the mall caught fire in Holosiivskyi district as a result of falling debris. There was also a fire on the construction site. Information about the victims is being clarified.
