A very interesting news came out at the beginning of November – the publishing company Take-Two expressed its desire to buy the British studio Codemasters for 22 billion crowns. Codemasters became famous for the racing series Colin McRae, Dirt, or for example F1 formulas. Last year, it also bought the Slightly Mad studio responsible for the Project CARS series.
One month after Take-Two’s bid, a new bid came from EA, which was willing to put 26 billion on wood for Codemasters. Take-Two has now withdrawn its offer, leaving the door open for Electronic Arts. This does not necessarily mean that the deal will be closed, but at least EA doesn’t have to mess with anyone.
