The Xiaomi Civi 3 also received a double front camera

The capsule remains on the front for the two 32 megapixel cameras, but the Snapdragon processor is replaced by MediaTek Dimensity.

In China, Xiaomi presented the Civi 3 smartphone, which brings significant changes compared to the Civi 2 (Xiaomi 13 Lite in our case). On the one hand, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip developed by Qualcomm was dropped, replaced by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra, which uses an ISP developed in cooperation with Xiaomi and MediaTek. This is how this SoC differs from the plain Dimensity 8200, it is also made with 4 nanometer manufacturing technology, uses an eight-core, 64-bit CPU (1 x 3.1 GHz Cortex-A78 + 3 x 3 GHz Cortex-A78 + 4 x 2 GHz Cortex-A55, 4 MB L3 cache), supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage, and the GPU is ARM Mali-G610 MC6.

As in previous years, the Civi is camera-focused, and the front-facing cameras are highlighted as a draw feature. It is about two 32 megapixel sensors, which were placed in an elongated pill cut into the upper-middle part of the display, and two-tone LED lights (flashing with cold and warm colors) were built into the frame. The primary front-facing camera is optically stabilized and autofocus, while the secondary is ultra-wide with a 100-degree field of view, and both can record 4K video. According to Xiaomi, their software uses AI to flash the LEDs on the front panel in such a way that the color of the selfies is as natural as possible, and the user can choose different lighting as needed.

There are three cameras in a large circle on the back, of which the optically stabilized 50-megapixel main camera using a Sony IMX800 sensor is the most noteworthy, the 8-megapixel ultra-wide and the 2-megapixel macro seem to be forgettable, as it was in its predecessor.

On the front, the 6.55-inch curved AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate remains. Protection is provided by Gorilla Glass 5 tempered glass, and according to Xiaomi, the maximum white brightness is 1500 nits. The battery is 4500 mAh, the charging is 67 watts on a wire, and wireless is not an option. The phone comes with 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 3.1 storage can be chosen among the Chinese models. The software is based on Android 13, and the user interface is MIUI 14.

The mobile comes in four colors, with the exception of gray with a two-tone back. The 12/256 GB basic model will go on sale in China for 2,499 yuan on May 31, which is equivalent to HUF 123,000.
