The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported this Saturday of a record number of infections worldwide: 212,326 positives recorded in the last 24 hours recorded.
The largest increases are those of United States, Brazil and India, according to the organization’s daily report, which recalls that the previous maximum number of infections is the June 28th, when 189,077 new cases were reported.
Downward trend in deaths
These data confirm the upward trend in infections and the downward trend in deaths, which are kept at about 5,000 daily.
On Friday the number of confirmed cases exceeded 11 million, while the deaths are over 500,000, exactly 527,704 according to the count of the Johns Hopkins University of Baltimore.
