The Vice Minister of Trade was outspoken on the Challenges of the Trade Sector in 2021 – Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga explained the challenges in the trade sector in 2021. One of them is how to restore conditions as before the pandemic.

The Ministry of Trade noted that many trade sectors and services were affected by the pandemic, such as in the culinary industry, hotel services, tourism services and so on.

“Trade involving MSMEs is also affected by the pandemic. On the other hand, there has been a shift (shifting) to health products and basic services as well as fitness,” said Jerry in his statement, Friday (12/2/2021).

Recovery, according to him, requires adjustments related to health issues in public interactions. The Ministry of Trade has compiled and disseminated a number of adjustment programs in the people’s trade sector, wholesale trade and trade between countries.
