“The Underdogs”, the hilarious Apple short film dedicated to smart working

Apple made a new video of the “Underdogs”, which features an entire family forced to stay home during the lockdown period.

“The Underdogs” focuses precisely on smart working and the problems people face every day to talk to a colleague, manage household chores, exercise and relax.

The goal of this extravagant 7-minute short film is to highlight how Apple hardware and software help people who work from home. “to unleash their creativity and productivity“:

The Underdogs are back in their new normal, with many unknowns but a reliable constant: Apple helps to release their creativity and productivity even when they work from home.

It’s still a world of deadlines, meetings, group chats, conference calls, colleagues and bosses. But it is also a world of children, a dog and a hairless cat. And it’s a world where collaboration never fails, regardless of whether the team uses iPad, iPhone, iMac, MacBook. Working from home (or working from anywhere) is not new, but what you can make happen together is.

In the video, the Underdogs are intent on using AirPods, Mac and Apple Watch to better manage themselves while working from home. Features and apps like Face Time, Pages and iMessage are promoted in the video, as well as the various challenges that come from working from home: being interrupted by pets, working in pajamas and much more.

This family had already starred in another “Apple at Work” video released in 2019.
