The Transport Board announced a public procurement to find a caretaker in the Western region, because the five-year contract between OÜ Warren Safety and Leonhard Weiss Viater AS, which is currently caring for you, is coming to an end.

“A new maintenance procurement is up in the Lääne maintenance area, at the end of this month we can open the tenders,” said Hannes Vaidla, the head of the Western Road Maintenance Department of the Transport Board. “There is a lot of interest in the procurement, because a five-year contract will be signed.”

Vaidla is satisfied with the current road maintenance company. “I am satisfied because men, both road masters and maintenance machine drivers, have experience,” Vaidla said.

In Läänemaa and South Läänemaa, OÜ Warren Safety and Leonhard Weiss Viater AS have 771 km of roads to maintain. Warren Safety Supervisor Peeter Proses said they definitely intend to participate in the new procurement.

According to Vaidla, one of the factors in determining the winner of the procurement is the price offered, but other criteria are also taken into account. The winner of the procurement will take care of you from October 1. Previously, Läänemaa was maintained by OÜ Lääne Teed.
