It is organized by the Police Force with the support of the Slovak Association of Beer and Malt Producers. The action will be ongoing from Monday to Friday (26 August).

The aim is to draw attention to the dangers of alcohol behind the wheel. TASR was informed about this by the spokeswoman of the Presidium of the Police Force, Denisa Bárdyová.

“Responsible motor vehicle drivers who do not have any alcohol on their breath will be rewarded with non-alcoholic beer at selected times and cities,” said Bárdyová.

This year, from January to July, there were 7,035 traffic accidents on Slovak roads. Of these, 12 percent were guilty under the influence of alcohol. Compared to last year, this is a decrease of 18 traffic accidents.
