The State Chancellery invites you to wear blue and white on Grandparents’ Day

Sunday, September 11 is Grandparents Day.

The State Chancellery announces that all state and local government institutions and public legal entities will raise the Estonian flag on Grandparents’ Day.

On the occasion of the family anniversary, everyone else is also invited to raise the blue and white flags. Flags are raised at sunrise or at the latest at 8 am and lowered at sunset.

The purpose of Grandparents’ Day is to thank and pay respect to grandparents for raising children and grandchildren, shared care and love. Grandparents Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of September.
