The SMIL Foundation, the telecommunications company 3 and Parken enter into a new collaboration

SMILfonden, the telecommunications company 3 and the Park enter into a new collaboration that, under the project name More Smiles in the Park, will help give sick children and their families unique experiences in the Park.

At the same time, the new collaboration must result in a number of concrete experiences for the SMIL Foundation’s children and families.

Families around the SMILfonden will, among other things, take turns visiting all FC Copenhagen’s home matches in the Park, just as 3, who are Main Partners in FC Copenhagen, will also make their Skybox available to the SMILfonden’s families for a selected match.

In addition to access to events in the Park, we are also working on a very special SMIL day in the Park.

“The park is a special space for experiences that exude smiles and community – and we want to offer that to the SMILfonden’s children and families,” says Jesper Thyssen, Marketing Director at 3.

“At 3, we believe that you have an obligation to make a difference when you can. That is why we are proud to be part of this collaboration, where we want to connect children and families who can sometimes lead a challenging life when you have a critical illness in the family.”

The SMIL day in the Park

Once a year, a match day in the Park will form the framework for the SMIL day, presented by 3 and the SMIL Foundation.

Here, various measures will ensure the involvement of the SMIL Foundation with a smile on their faces and also create awareness of their work with sick children across diagnoses.

In connection with the SMIL day, you can also donate to the SMILfonden, where the money will go towards the development of the SMILfonden’s creative workshop at Rigshospitalet and the brand new children’s kingdom.

“The SMIL Foundation is still a relatively small organisation,” says the foundation’s founder and director, Sisse Fisker.

“That’s why we need some strong forces like 3, Parken and FC Copenhagen, who will help put the SMILfonden on the map. It is incredibly valuable that they will help the children and their families to have some great experiences during a difficult time.”

“We are very much looking forward to starting this and creating great memories together,” says Sisse Fisker.

Focus on creating a framework for more good experiences in the Park
For the Park and FC Copenhagen, the collaboration is a natural part of an increased focus on opening up the Park and letting the entire Danish national stadium form the setting for even more memorable experiences.

“We are very much looking forward to the collaboration and most of all to seeing even more smiles in the Park,” says director Jacob Lauesen.

“Our stadium is part of the city, and one of our most prestigious tasks is to create great experiences. We have been looking for the right partners for projects like this for a while, and the collaboration with 3 and the SMIL Foundation is a really good match.”

Facts about the SMIL fund
The SMIL Foundation is a charitable association whose vision is to give children with serious and chronic illnesses across diagnoses a better life.

They do this by giving the children and their families a break from illness through social activities.

The SMIL Foundation embraces all children and their families and is present with creative workshops (SMILET) both in Copenhagen and in Aarhus.
