Now Slow Femme launches the HitHit Yearbook campaign, where the reader will find investigative articles, practical advice and tips, reflections and interviews on sustainability in the fashion industry and in everyday life.

Slow Femme strives to show women that dressing responsibly means choosing quality and well-fitting pieces, even from a vintage shop. It means valuing the values of work and life of everyone involved in the production of clothing. Slow Femme believes in values such as sustainability, transparency, locality and ethics, while encouraging women to live and dress according to their style, authenticity and naturalness.

Slow Femme is entering its third season this year. In two years, the platform has brought over 200 inspiring online articles, author’s texts and photographs. The HitHit campaign, which runs from October 5 to November 5, 2021, aims to raise at least CZK 170,000. The issue of the yearbook is scheduled for the second half of November, so that readers can get it in their hands before Christmas. More than 150 pages will offer 31 original texts and photographs, some of which are the best articles from Slow Femme, supplemented by eight completely new articles. The result is a magazine with a lasting value about the format of the book that will fit in any library.

Slow Femme carries another important idea. In addition to ecology, it also emphasizes the independence and strength of women. In 2018, Slow Femme was jointly founded by Karolína Břinková and Veronika Ohrádková as an independent platform without a media house or investor, based on the voluntary work of all members of the editorial board.

“Through the Slow Femme platform, we teach women how to approach and choose clothes responsibly. We also projected this mission into the Slow Femme Yearbook, which is complemented by mindfulness and reflection texts. Slow Fashion is not just about changing shopping habits, but about the overall change in the perception of clothing as a consumer good. Because we are trying to publish timeless topics, we decided to print the Yearbook. We do not want our texts to get lost in the depths of the Internet, ”says Karolína Břinková, co-founder of Slow Femme.

Among other things, 10 topics covered by the yearbook can be found on the platform’s website. These include, for example, the waste of water, pollution of rivers, oceans and drinking water, or unnecessary shopping. All topics show the impacts of the fashion industry on people and the environment.
