The share of Chinese goods in world trade increased

While the crisis caused by the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic caused historical damage to global trade, the global market share of China’s export goods, where the epidemic occurred, rose from 13.08 percent to 14.5 percent in 2020.

Increasing its share in global exports by 1.42 points last year compared to the previous year, China increased its share to 14.5 percent. During the period in question, the share of the United States decreased by 0.45 points to 8.5 percent, and Germany’s share decreased by 0.09 points to 8 percent.

Last year, the global market share of France’s export goods decreased by 0.37 points, Italy by 0.14 points, Canada by 0.13 points and Japan by 0.19 points.

During the same period, Indonesia’s share in world trade increased by 0.06 points, Malaysia by 0.08 points, Taiwan by 0.23 points and Vietnam by 0.25 points.

Analysts state that China has recovered from the Kovid-19 crisis economically better due to the epidemic experience. In this country, which has learned from epidemics such as MERS and SARS, collective well-being is valued more than individual freedoms.

Evaluating that China’s share in the global economy will increase thanks to its high growth, even without the Kovid-19 crisis, analysts emphasize that the epidemic crisis accelerates China’s rise even more.

Analysts pointed out that China came out of the Kovid-19 crisis much earlier than developed countries, in addition, China’s medical protective equipment such as masks and home office products such as laptops and computer screens, which were in high demand in the Kovid-19 crisis, are also in the country’s global exports. He stated that it made a significant contribution to increasing its share.

On the other hand, the Beijing administration, responding to the criticism from Western countries about Kovid-19, prepared 5-year programs to increase post-epidemic high technology and self-sufficiency.
