Real wages were 6.2 percent higher in December than the last month of 2019. Compared to November, the value of real wages increased by 5.7 percent, writes MTI.
Last December, the average gross wage in Romania was 5,906 lei (431,138 forints) and the net average wage was 3,620 lei (264,260 forints), an increase of 6.1 percent compared to November. The latter is mainly explained by the fact that employees receive Christmas and other benefits in December.
The highest average wage, 8350 lei (609,550 forints), was recorded in the production of coke products and oil refining, the lowest average wage, 1,685 lei (123,005 forints) was paid in the catering industry.
According to the latest data, the average gross earnings of full-time employees in Hungary in November 2020 were HUF 438.2 thousand, 8.6 percent higher than a year earlier. Net average earnings excluding discounts reached HUF 265.5 thousand
