The research showed that telecommuting suits Slovenes

The last year and a half we have witnessed significant changes in the world that have brought many new habits.

Many employees first encountered working from home, where some adopted a new way of working and would like to keep it, while others did not find themselves in it the best. In any case, one thing is true: without modern technological devices, this form of work would not be possible.

With new technologies, digital evolution has enabled people to work from different places, from different countries in different periods. There has also been the development of new jobs and work habits. Teleworking allows greater flexibility of working hours and workplace, affects the working atmosphere because it gives more freedom, and at the same time allows you to choose the device with which you will most easily perform work tasks.

Given the rapidly changing situation, Huawei in Slovenia recently conducted an online survey on adapting to new ways of working and the role of technology in this, in which 574 people participated. Of these, 74% were women and 26% were men, and the age groups between 19 and 25 years (29%) and between 26 and 35 years (25%) were the most represented.

Most employees are already back at work

Almost half of the respondents (49%) worked part-time occasionally in the last year and a half, while a third spent more time remotely, and a small proportion, 17%, spent all this time at their workplace. The majority of all, 56%, have already returned to their jobs, 29% still combine both ways of working, and far fewer (15%) still work exclusively remotely.

However, it turned out that a lot of people got used to the new way of working and that it might suit them even better. 54% like a combination of both methods, ie working remotely and at work, 33% think that working remotely is great, as it gives them more freedom in designing the day, much less, only 13%, preferring to work exclusively on workplace.

Findings on the effectiveness of teleworking are in line with this. 61% of respondents agree that they are more efficient in their work when working remotely, while only 13% believe that they do the most in the workplace. The rest (26%) are of the opinion that efficiency depends on the situation and does not always apply to either option.

We prefer to work at home, as this allows us more flexibility

Among the various locations working remotely, most chose their home as the most appropriate (61%), followed by a weekend (14%), then nature (12%), and then a cafe, park and beach. Most respondents see saving time on the road (27%), schedule flexibility (14%) and comfort (13%) as the biggest advantages of teleworking.

When working remotely, we miss the tablet the most

Of all the devices they miss the most when working remotely, and 29% chose a tablet, and less a laptop (16%), a monitor (13%) and a wireless headset (17%).

Going hand in hand with these findings also goes the main feature you would want with such a device. As many as 82% of them chose that portability is the most important to them, as it allows them the greatest flexibility at work. In addition, a long-lasting battery (26%), fast WiFi connectivity (23%) and screen quality (15%) were chosen as key features.

The Huawei MatePad 11 has everything you need and more

The new tablet boasts all the listed features Huawei MatePad 11, which is already available in Slovenia together with the magnetic Bluetooth keyboard and the M-Pencil electronic pen.

In addition to a powerful Snapdragon 865 processor and extensive storage, which can be upgraded with micro SD memory cards, it features an excellent 120-hertz 27.8-centimeter (10.95-inch) IPS screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 light peak. These capabilities are significantly enhanced by the HarmonyOS operating system with features to improve productivity and multitasking. Working in the office will be more efficient, while the student will find it easier to make notes and use a variety of learning materials with this tablet computer.

Hajdi Korošec

The successful Slovenian entrepreneur Hajdi Korošec, who has a very dynamic schedule and often needs the right tools for work and meetings, is also very attached to Huawei’s latest tablet. “I take MatePad 11 with me everywhere and it has become my best friend and helper. “The key to my devices is durability and speed, which are perfect with the MatePad. It’s great that it also has an additional magnetic keyboard that allows me to write easily, and an M-Pencil pen, with which I can make quick notes and give me the feeling of writing on paper. The tablet gives me flexibility, but also excellent transparency over what is happening – both in the company and in private time, “ Heidi explained enthusiastically.
