The Red Star launched the Chess Business League

The Red Star Chess Club has launched the Business League in order to popularize chess among businessmen and individuals who would like to apply their strategic and tactical ideas on a board with 64 fields.

“By launching this league, Zvezda wants to gather its fans and fans in chess, and at the same time encourage successful and accomplished players to support young talents and future grandmasters who are part of Zvezda’s chess school.” said the actor Aleksandar Srećković Kubura, the president of the Board of Directors of ŠKCZ.

More than 20 teams of eminent Serbian companies have already applied to participate in the new league. In the first round of qualifications, which were held yesterday, excellent chess players from numerous IT companies participated, among which Fractal, Triton, TNation and others stood out. The best placement among businessmen was won by Alan Albulj from Extreme doo with 6 out of 8 games and the highest number of points achieved for his team. As guests of the competition, the pioneers of the Red Star chess club crossed forces with experienced chess players, and the youngest participant was 11-year-old Lazar Petronijević

Due to the epidemiological situation, the qualifications were held on the platform Lichess in accordance with the rules of online chess. The first round of the Chess Business League will last until December 30, and the invitation to participate in the Business League is still open.
