Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has brought the health care sector to people’s doorsteps. In 50 years of independence, the health care sector of the country has achieved commendable success globally under the plans of the honorable Prime Minister. Compared to other countries in the world, the people of Bangladesh can meet their basic medical needs at a relatively low cost. In addition, the Prime Minister took extensive initiatives in the control and prevention of communicable diseases and the management and prevention of non-communicable diseases.

At the same time, the development of nutrition, massive progress in health indicators and unprecedented achievements in the health infrastructure sector have taken Bangladesh a long way.
