Staff Reporter: Trading on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended on Wednesday with a sharp fall in the price index. DSE Key Price Index DSEX is down 95 points or 1 percent. On this day, the amount of money transactions in DSE has also decreased. On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) index decreased but the transaction increased.
According to DSE and CSE, shares and units worth Tk 1,129.55 crore were traded on DSE on Wednesday. On this day, 175 crore 5 lakh less transactions have been done on DSE than the previous day. 1,314 crore 60 lakh was traded on DSE.
The DSE main price index DSEX is down 95 points at 6,918 points. Among the other two indices, the DSE 30 Index has declined by 29 points and the DSES or Shariah Index by 18 points.
A total of 365 companies traded on the DSE on Wednesday. Of these, prices of 85 companies increased, prices of 259 companies decreased and prices of 31 companies remained unchanged.
On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) index ended the fall. The CSE Composite Index is down 256 points at 20,259 points. Shares worth Tk 576 million were traded on the CSE.
