The popular card is finally here: the well-priced RTX 4060 has officially been introduced

The unveiling of the slightly tuned RTX 4060 Ti will have to wait until next week, both cards may hit store shelves in July.

Nvidia let go of this secrecy thing for some time, so before the big announcements, almost all the information regarding the models of the RTX 4000 series came to light. It was no different in the case of the 4060, where we also reported on information dripped by well-informed leakers, be it performance or pricing.

Although the official unveiling of the 4060 Ti won’t take place until May 24th, it’s certain that the model with 8GB of VRAM will come with an MSRP of $399, while the 16GB edition will start at $499.

On the other hand, Nvidia only charges $299 for the RTX 4060, so it even managed to undercut the starting price of the RTX 3060 by $30.

Although the RTX 3060 Ti from a few years ago served 1440p gamers smoothly, this time Nvidia only shared 1080p data, probably due to low VRAM.

The TGP for both the 8 and 16 GB RTX 4060 Ti models is 160 watts, so they will be much more efficient than the RTX 3060 Ti, which consumes 200 watts. The normal edition is even lower than this: in the case of the RTX 4060, we only have to count on 115 watts.

According to the signs, Nvidia clearly feels the pressure of the competition in the lower-middle category, because the price of the RTX 4060 is very close to the $289 of the Intel A750. We would have been much happier if they finally forgot about 8 GB of VRAM in the 1080p segment as well, but this way they can at least steer customers towards the RTX 4060 Ti.
