OPPO today introduced the mid-range OPPO Reno7 5G and Reno7 Lite 5G, which boast tuned cameras, fast charging support and decent performance under the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G and Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipsets along with 8GB of RAM. The manufacturer informed about the arrival of smartphones on the market through a press release.
OPPO Reno7 5G
At first glance, the novelty impresses with its premium design, which combines a classic black finish with a modern, changeable look. However, the design will not be at the expense of usability, as the Reno7 5G is only 7.8 mm thick and weighs 173 grams. When we turn the device, we will see a 6.4 ”AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10 + technology.
The manufacturer did not save even in the area of operational memory. The device offers 8 GB of RAM and the OPPO RAM Expansion function can expand it by another 5 GB, which they can borrow from the internal storage. It has a capacity of 256 GB. The crazy amount of RAM is complemented by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset. The battery capacity has reached 4,500 mAh and with the support of 65 W charging, it can be charged from zero to 100% in just 31 minutes.
In this model, OPPO highlights improved cameras, especially in terms of software. In terms of hardware, they have a 64 MP primary, 8 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro sensor. The selfie camera boasts a resolution of 32 MP.
The model runs on the new ColorOS 12 superstructure with several improvements, such as the Air Gestures function, which allows users to control the device without having to touch it. However, it did not see the latest version of Android and it comes with Android 11.
OPPO Reno7 Lite 5G
The cheaper OPPO Reno7 Lite 5G does not lag behind and keeps pace with other models in the Reno series with its successful design. It doesn’t all end there, he can also boast of decent hardware. It is one of the first to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. Together with 8 GB RAM, 4,500 mAh battery and 128 GB storage, it guarantees a great user experience.
It is also connected to three rear cameras consisting of a 64 MP primary, 2 MP depth and 2 MP macro lens. On the front of the smartphone we find a 6.4 “AMOLED display and a 16 MP selfie camera.
However, compared to a more equipped brother, it lacks a fast refresh rate and support for 65 W charging. This was replaced only by charging with a maximum power of 33 W. In terms of software, we are again waiting for a new superstructure ColorOS 12, but only with Android 11.
