The opening of the summer sports season took place in Daugavpils (photo)

The event began with incendiary zumba rhythms, where all participants of the event could also prove themselves in the dance.

The sports season opening program included: 3×3 basketball, floorball and football.

Mamanet demonstration games were also held, this game is very similar to volleyball, it takes place on a volleyball court with 6 players on both sides of the field. But unlike volleyball, the participants do not need to hit the ball, on the contrary, the player must first catch the ball in his hands and only then pass it to the next player. Mamanet is played by women – mothers, so this game has such a name.

5 teams took part in the football competition. The places were distributed as follows:

• 1st place was won by the Daugavpils Centra vidusskola team
• 2 place command VICTORY 2 i
• 3rd place VICTORY 1

3 teams took part in floorball competitions:

• 1st place was won by the Ilūkste team
• 2nd place team Daugavpils Centra vidusskola and
• 3rd place Daugavpils State Gymnasium

The largest number of participants, 24 teams played 3×3 basketball.

In group S-1 (girls)

• 1 place GOLDEN FOUR
• 2nd place SUŠKAS
• 3 место GAME ON CREDIT

In group V-1 (juniors)

• 1 place THE SMASHERS
• 2 place EMPTY
• 3rd place PNIĶE

In group S-2 (girls)

• 1 place SUICIDE SQUAD

In group V-2 (juniors)

• 1 place PUPIRONS
• 2 place TOP GUN
• 3 place PILSKALNE

Also, on the same day, hockey fans were able to gather together at a specially installed large screen and watch the World Championship hockey match between the teams of the Latvian national team and the national team of Kazakhstan, where, to the delight of all fans, the Latvian national team won with a score of 7:0.
