The Hard West 2 strategy, which combines six-armed colts, spitting chewing tobacco and the supernatural and packs it all in a neat draft, is due this year, and if you can’t wait to go to the rough and wild West, we have good news for you.
Even before the full-scale launch, the developers from Ice Code Games launched an open beta, in which you can also participate on Steam. As part of the demonstration, which will run until June 5, you can try out a small part of the story campaign.
Its plot revolves around a bad train robbery, which unfortunately chose a machine full of ghosts. This overstepping led to the loss of the souls of the protagonists and your task is to rediscover the lost inner essence. So you have to travel around the world, interviews, major story decisions and, last but not least, turn-based shootings that are not unlike those of XCOM.
If you want to start playing, just head to Steam and ask for beta access, you don’t have to meet any other conditions. You will then find out whether the developers have selected you and allowed you to enter via a confirmation email.
Hard West 2 is not developed by the authors of the first part, who after its completion switched to the (also turn-based) Phantom Doctrine project. Unfortunately, we do not yet know the specific date of the release of the new game.
