COSMOTE HISTORY HD, the only documentary channel dedicated exclusively to Greece, its history, culture, manners and customs, created by the OTE Group, completed five years of operation. In this process, the most popular documentary channel of COSMOTE TV, has created more than 120 original productions and co-productions of documentaries and over 800 hours of television material.

The decision of the OTE Group to make COSMOTE HISTORY HD available free of charge to schools, through the streaming service of COSMOTE TV, was based on that. The first schools have already gained free access to the canal, while as Mr. Tsamaz characteristically noted “our door was and remains open for any school in the country that expresses interest”.
Great tribute to the Revolution of 1821, free for all
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Revolution of 1821, COSMOTE HISTORY HD has prepared a rich tribute to the struggle for freedom, which consists of 11 new productions and co-productions of COSMOTE TV. In total, throughout the year, viewers will watch over 100 hours of television program dedicated to the Greek Revolution. As announced by the President and CEO of the OTE Group, premieres of COSMOTE HISTORY HD documentaries about the Greek Revolution will be freely available to everyone, through the COSMOTE TV channel on YouTube.
