The ongoing dispute between the district administration and the lawyers’ association will be settled soon

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury MP said, Since the establishment of the court in Chittagong, the members of the bar have played a pivotal role in establishing justice and keeping the rule of law intact. He was always vocal against all evil forces including dictatorship and communal evil. Where human rights have been violated, Chittagong Bar lawyers have fought for their rights by risking their lives. The land minister said that the ongoing dispute between the district administration and the lawyers will be taken up soon through a meeting with the parties to settle the dispute., I believe that the hostility of the association with the district administration will be overcome soon. There is no reason to worry about this. Any problem can be resolved through discussion. The Minister said this while addressing the Chief Guest at the function organized at the District Bar Association auditorium at Court Hill in the city last Thursday night.

The event was organized on the occasion of the inauguration of the elected Executive Council of the District Bar Association. District and Sessions Judge Aziz Ahmad Bhuya was the special guest on the occasion, Metropolitan Sessions Judge Zebunnecha, Bangladesh Bar Council Member ASM Badrul Anwar, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kamrun Nahar Rumi and Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md.. Rabiul Alam. Welcome speech, General Secretary of the association ASM Bajlur Rashid, President Mohammad Nazim Uddin Chowdhury presided. Mohammad Imran, joint secretary of the association, was in charge. Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury also said in his speech, The government has to gain a lot of momentum to maintain the trend of development. The government is implementing many development activities including the construction of the dream Padma Bridge and metro rail with Nizam funding. The construction of the Bangabandhu Tunnel is progressing rapidly as a result of which the people of South Chittagong will benefit a lot. This tunnel will be excavated soon. Currently, Bangladesh has reached a unique height in the world meeting. The minister sought the full cooperation of the judiciary as well as the lawyers in this ongoing development of the government.
