Brno – The Office for the Protection of Economic Competition (ÚOHS) has banned the Prague transport company from entering into a contract with the winner of a public contract for the construction of the first section of metro D from Pankrác to Olbrachtov by a preliminary measure. The prohibition applies until the Office assesses whether the public contract has been announced in accordance with the law. The Seznam Zprávy server drew attention to the preliminary measure, and its release was confirmed to ČTK by the office’s spokeswoman Milena Marešová.
“The Office issued an interim measure yesterday (Thursday) and was delivered to the parties today. We initiated the administrative procedure at the request of Eurovia, which filed a motion to review the contracting authority’s procedure. Otherwise, it would not be possible to impose corrective measures in the event that the office finds a mistake, “said Marešová.
The contract for the construction of the first section of metro D from Pankrác to Olbrachtov was announced by a Prague transport company and its value exceeds ten billion crowns.
