At the same time, according to Dr. Elek, 55 people are being treated at the Kosovska Mitrovica hospital, 23 of whom are on oxygen support.

– Before the new year, we had 27 patients and now the number has literally doubled. Namely, after the New Year and Christmas holidays, the number of new patients is growing, and it is mostly elderly people who have not been vaccinated and who have concomitant diseases – Dr. Elek points out, appealing for respect for epidemiological measures.

By the way, in all Serbian communities, kovid clinics work every day at health centers where a “fast” or antigen test can be performed, while in the Public Health Institute from Pristina based in Kosovska Mitrovica, the PSR test is done three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and pect, and the results are available to citizens on the same day.

However, due to the ban of the Pristina authorities that vaccination is performed in Serbian health institutions in Kosovo and Metohija, citizens from Kosovo and Metohija go for vaccination at three points, Kursumlija, Bujanovac and Vranje.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija provides them with transportation to go to these health institutions. By the way, since the beginning of the coronary virus epidemic in Serbian communities in Kosovo and Metohija, 195 people have died.
