The E-Transit Custom is available in two lengths and two roof heights. This provides a cargo volume of between 5.8 and 9 cubic meters. Depending on the configuration, the van has a payload capacity of up to 1,100 kg and can tow up to 2.5 tons.

The plug-in hybrid Transit Custom combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine that operates on the Atkinson cycle and an electric motor that draws energy from a battery with a useful capacity of 11.8 kWh that provides an electric range of 57 kilometers. The system produces 224 horses.

The diesel Transit Custom is offered with the 2.0-liter diesel engine available in 4 different horsepower versions: 110, 136, 150 and 170 hp. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic, with all-wheel drive optional.

All versions of the new Transit Custom will be manufactured in Turkey, at the Ford Otosan plant in Kocaeli.
