The construction of a new children ‘s university hospital, Tirsova 2, began in Belgrade in October. The works should be completed by 2024.

The first phase of construction of the 4Po + 2Su + P + Te + 4 storey building was entrusted to the companies Novkol, Sky Technologies, WD Concord West and Srbijaautoput, and the value amounts to EUR 6.23 million (excluding VAT). As stated, the first phase of works will last 210 days and includes preparatory works on the construction site.
The complex will cover more than 60,000 m2, of which 30,000 m2 provided for a medical space with eight state-of-the-art operating rooms and 36 intensive care beds. The complex is designed for the whole 286 hospital beds which will be arranged in 154 rooms. The construction of a garage with more than 520 parking spaces is also planned the hospital will have direct access from the highway.
He is the designer of the new hospital architect Dragana Mecanov from Bexel Consulting doo When designing the facade, the artistic conception of space in relation to the child’s psyche and imagination was taken into account. The applied proportional relations at the University Children’s Clinic paid tribute to Milan Zlokovic, the author of the UDK building in Tirsova Street.
In daylight, the building dominates in volume and white, while at night it resembles a lantern, which becomes the benchmark of the city and the E-75 highway.
Let us remind you, Tiršova 2 is being built in the contact area of the Clinical Center of Serbia in the immediate vicinity of GAK Višegradska and the existing children’s clinic Tiršova 1.
