The newcomers bring a significant increase in performance compared to their predecessors, and electricity consumption is significantly lower, which is reflected in the longer autonomy of computers. However, as the competition in laptop processors does not rest, it is not surprising that AMD will soon introduce a completely new family of laptop processors.

The Ryzen 6000 Mobile family of processors will be based on Zen 3+ technology and will be built using six nanometer technology. Built-in graphic RDNA2 will be in charge of converting graphic content. Initially, three Ryzen 6000 Mobile processors will be available, namely Ryzen 9 6980HX, Ryzen 9 6900HX and Ryzen 7 6800HX. The most powerful of all will be the expected Ryzen 9 6980HX. All three models will consume only 45 watts of electricity at full load, as these are processors designed for laptops.

The Ryzen 9 6980HX mobile processor will feature eight physical and 16 virtual processor cores of up to 5 GHz (fast mode) and a built-in iGPU Radeon 680M graphics core. The slightly less powerful Ryzen 9 6900HX will feature eight physical and 16 virtual processor cores up to 4.9 GHz (fast mode) and a built-in iGPU Radeon 680M graphics core. The least powerful representative of the new AMD family of Ryzen 6000 Mobile processors will be the Ryzen 7 6800HX. It will have eight physical and 16 virtual processor cores with frequencies up to 4.7 GHz.
