The municipality of Zabalj received a solar power plant with a capacity of 80MW

The first phase of the 80 MW solar power plant development project, which is planned to be built in the municipality of Zabalj, has been completed, according to WV International Emergy. The plan is to produce the first kWh from the sun and deliver it to the grid by 2026 at the latest. The investment value of the project is 55 million euros, the energy group WV International Emergy announced.

The Assembly of the Municipality of Zabalj adopted the Decision on the development of detailed regulation plans for the construction of the solar photovoltaic power plant PV Power Plant and the Decision on the development of the detailed regulation plan for the 110 kV transmission line, which will supply electricity produced by this power plant.

The electricity transmission system operator AD Elektromreža Srbije adopted a study on connecting the photovoltaic power plant to the grid, which created the conditions for further realization of the project.

After preparing the project technical documentation and obtaining the necessary permits, and respecting the highest standards of environmental protection, the beginning of the construction of the solar power plant is planned for 2025, when the connection to the network and commissioning is expected.

WV International Emergy is working on wind farm projects of a total of 800 MW in Pančevo and Alibunar

“We are very glad that we made the first successful step in the development of our first photovoltaic power plant in Serbia.” After predominantly dealing with wind farms in previous years, entering the solar energy sector was a challenge for us, but bearing in mind that the Republic of Serbia provides a stable framework for investment in green energy, and that the adoption of energy laws reaffirmed its commitment to energy transition , our group has decided to continue investing in Serbia and diversify its portfolio, “said Neda Lazendić, Director for Serbia at WV International Emergy.
