The Motorola Edge 2022 will be launched in the mid-range, it is not yet known whether it will come to us

This year’s mid-range Motorola mobile comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset and a 144 Hz OLED display.

Motorola presented its latest smartphone, the Edge 2022 model, which can be considered the “little brother” of the American manufacturer’s flagship device, i.e. the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. The design of the two devices is similar, but the biggest difference is that the Edge 2022 does not get the Snapdragon 8 processor and is basically intended for the mid-range market.

In comparison, based on the technical details, the latest Edge looks promising, i.e. the first smartphone made with the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset.

The Motorola Edge 2022 will get a 50 MP triple camera island, and a 6 GB or 8 GB RAM model will also be available. The 5000 mAh battery supports up to 68 W wired and 15 W wireless charging. It will be available with 128 or 256 GB of storage, and the already mentioned MediaTek chipset takes care of the performance.

The device has a 6.6-inch diameter, 144 Hz, 1080p resolution OLED display. It supports HDR10+ and is capable of up to 1300 nits of brightness. The display can also be switched to 60 Hz mode to save the battery. The phone starts with the Android 12 operating system, so far it is not known whether it will be possible to buy it later with Android 13.

The Motorola Edge 2022 will be available on the American market in a few weeks at a price of $500 (approx. HUF 201,000). Motorola has not yet announced whether the device will be introduced on the European market.
