We suffer chronically from the lack of time and we try to treat it with a continuous flight from one to do to another. The “must” list never ends, and the fast pace does not seem to be a solution. It’s not. On the contrary, the answer comes from elsewhere, he thinks Silvia Gradinaru, copywriter andand poet, part of the team that handled the campaign this summer #FizzUp by Pepsi. The most important thing, she says, is to be where you want to be, to take your energy from the things you like, and the rest comes naturally.
I think most of us are in a hurry and we feel some pressure every day. There’s always something to do, something to do. That’s why on vacation I prefer to take time to breathe, watch and enjoy more what is around me, says Silvia.
We talk to Silvia, in the following lines, about how she prolongs her holiday in September, how she copes with the fast pace and what the Fizz Up condition consists of. The article is part of the series [Fizz Up Mood], made in partnership with Pepsi, where we gather stories about the past summer, holidays and FizzUp moments from people in the creative industries.
Fizz Up condition
Take energy from what you really like and give it to others from that energy.
The most important thing is not to build your own rules. It’s enough to be where you want to be. The rest comes naturally.
What is very important for you on vacation
I think most of us are in a hurry and we feel some pressure every day. There’s always something to do, something to do. That’s why on vacation I prefer to take time to breathe, watch and enjoy more what is around me.
Look, although I was in Sinaia many times when I was little, this summer I walked the streets there almost like the first time. I arrived in the morning and stayed until evening. We went where his step took us, without haste. I went up to Peles and on the way down I took blueberries. On the way back, we stayed in the garden while the mosquitoes left us and the next day we started again.
A week later, we were at the “Promenada Operei”, we were trying to listen, and a reporter was trying to ask us what it’s like to drink a beer on a blanket at an open-air opera concert.
The most important thing is to be able to relax, to take things as they come and not need to give explanations.
How to prolong the holiday
I will give the project as an example d:scriptiv, created two years ago with Irina Szellelki, in which we put together photos and micro-poems. When we started the project, we did it for us, because we liked the idea and we wanted to do something together. As time went on, the project pleasantly surprised us in ways we didn’t even think about.
It’s nice to see when someone passes on Insta something you did or writes to you in DM to thank you for what you do. You feel like you’re part of something that matters. It doesn’t change the world, but it changes something for the moment. And this is also a way to live the joy of a holiday every day.
#FizzUp by Pepsi is a digital-driven campaign that wants to bring effervescence, giving a FizzUp to the most important interests of young people – music, dance, experiences, a group of friends. In the series of interviews [Fizz Up Mood], we talk to people in the creative industries about their FizzUp moments, the summer of 2021 and the memorable holiday experiences.
