The most gentle mixture for a milk bath

Nothing will make your skin as soft as a milk bath. Even if you add soothing lavender and nourishing marigold to it – you get a revitalizing spa treatment.

On Rebecca’s blog Soapdelinews we found a recipe for this wonderful milk bath mixture.

You need:milk bath

  • 1.5 cups of cow’s or goat’s milk powder
  • half a cup of bitter salt (maybe sea salt),
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • half a cup of powdered ground oatmeal
  • a cup of marigold and lavender flowers.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, then arrange in muslin or linen bags. (You can sew them yourself, just make a tie so you can attach them so that the ingredients don’t “scatter” on the water).

Hang this bag on the tap and let the hot water flow into the tub over the bag or simply put the bag in the hot tub. If you want to add a little stronger scents to this bath, just drip a few drops of your favorite essential oil into each bag.

Store the bags in a dark and dry place until use.
