“It should be so,” Barbora Peterová, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, told ČTK if the vaccine from Moderna is already in Brno. It is the first delivery from Moderna. So far, about 40,000 people have been vaccinated in the country with a vaccine from the first manufacturer approved for the EU, namely Pfizer and BioNTech.
In the Moravian-Silesian Region, vaccination began today in nursing homes, for example in the Slunečnice home in Ostrava. So far, it is vaccinated with substances from Pfizer and BioNTech. Hejtman Ivo Vondrák (YES) said on Monday that another social facility should come next from Thursday, where the Moderna vaccine would be vaccinated.
“Home will be delivered to homes that will be able to start vaccinating this week on Thursday and Friday,” Birklen said. Vaccines will be distributed to social services facilities according to their interest. Almost 5,000 benefits will go to nursing homes, 2,000 to homes with a special regime and 1,500 to nursing homes.
“To date, almost 5,000 users / clients and more than 3,000 social workers have shown interest in vaccination,” the spokeswoman said. The process of distribution from FNO to homes will be addressed today. “Logistics is very demanding – there are more than 150 organizations across the region, it is necessary to solve not only the strict conditions of distribution, but also storage,” added Birklenová.
The governor assumes that general practitioners and outpatient specialists will soon be vaccinated. In February at the latest, vaccination could begin in a high-capacity vaccination center, which the region is preparing on Černá louka in Ostrava. The region plans to build large-capacity vaccination centers in other larger cities.
