On Thursday, December 1, a conference was held at the Michael school within the framework of projects that were financed from the EEA and Norway Funds. These enabled the school’s students and their teachers to travel to Norway and Iceland.
At the beginning, the Creative Edu Lab and Media Incubator: Vision of Vocational Education projects were presented and evaluated. Students and teachers participated in the first, the second was intended for teachers of professional subjects and companies that provide internships to students of vocational schools.
This was followed by a panel discussion with the participants of individual internships. The students talked about the newly acquired experiences and also compared education systems and pedagogical practices in individual countries.
Part of the conference was the opening of an exhibition of photographs that were created during internships in Norway and Iceland. In the second part of the conference, a new logo was also presented, which graphic design students created during their internship in Iceland for the Creative Edu Lab project.
In addition to students and teachers, the staff of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway and representatives of the House of Foreign Cooperation, who are mediators of the EEA Fund, took part in the conference.
The program was enriched by a musical performance by the teachers of the Michael school. They entertained the participants of the conference by singing, playing the accordion and the bass guitar.
Certificates were presented to all students who participated in the internships, and the best ones in the field of photography and graphics received prizes at the end.
The partners of the project were the Icelandic school Borgarholtsskóli, the Norwegian school Hadsel videregaende skole, Andy Design. The mediator of the project is the House of Foreign Cooperation.
