Tomas Breddam (S), who despite a massive decline for the Social Democrats in Roskilde Municipality retains the mayoral post, got with 4231 personal votes significantly more than he did back in the 2017 election.
At the time, he received just 306 personal votes.
However, the 4231 personal votes are miles away from the almost 15,000 personal votes that former Roskilde mayor Joy Mogensen (S) received in 2017. When she became minister in 2019, Breddam took over the mayoral post.
After Tuesday’s local elections, it is clear that the Social Democrats will fall 17.8 percentage points in Roskilde Municipality. Thus, S loses its absolute majority in the first local elections after Mogensen’s farewell.
Vælgerlussingen is even one of the largest nationally in the local elections this year.
