On Monday on the London Stock Exchange began public trading in shares of the advertising business Baltic Classifieds Group (BCG), formerly owned by businessman Margus Linnamäe, the market value of the company rose to 1.17 billion euros, writes rus.err.ee.
The initial public offering (IPO) of the company’s shares was 165 British pennies, but at the opening of the exchange it rose to 200, bringing the capitalization of the concern to $ 1.17 billion.
The company was founded in 1999 with the creation of the kv.ee and osta.ee portals. BCG owns and operates 12 Baltic portals, including auto24.ee, KV.EE, Osta.ee, City24.ee, Kuldnebörs.ee.
MM Grupp, Linnamäe’s large holding company, sold BCG to Apax Partners last year.
