the main antagonist is not who he claims to be

Series Loki continues to be talked about. And there is plenty, with the many elements hidden everywhere in the first two episodes. The end of the second episode left us speechless, with the appearance of a new character well known from the comics. Until then, we thought it was indeed this famous variant, but several details could prove that it is a completely different person.

Warning, this article contains spoils for episode 2 of Loki. If you haven’t seen it, there is still time to turn around.

Lady Loki could be an understudy

At the end of episode 2, we discovered Lady Loki, a 2012 version of the God of Mischief, which officially gave birth to the Multiverse because of the multiple reset charges thrown throughout the timelines. But several details should have put us in our ears, in particular the big difference with the comic book version. Indeed, Lady Loki initially has black hair, and this is actually the real Loki, who, let’s remember, can take the form of anyone. He only held a woman’s form for long enough that she ended up calling herself Lady Loki. However, Marvel Studios seemed to present it as a variant … Finally, we believed it.

When we look a little more at the details, the so-called female version, embodied by Sophia Di Martino, clarified that she didn’t like being called “Loki”, in the final sequence. To which the god of mischief replied that he would never treat himself that way. Finally, in the end credits, nowhere was a Lady Loki mentioned. There is marked “variant” in those of the original and French version, but “Sylvie” in the Castilian version. These elements could thus prove that it is not a variant that we see on the screen.

The enchantress would hide behind Lady Loki

The enchantress, alias Sylvie Lusthon, made its first appearance when the new Asgard was in Oklahoma. Shortly after, she woke up one day with magical powers, conferred by Loki, for unknown reasons. She then assumed the identity of the enchantress, an Asgardian. However, one detail could derail the whole theory. Indeed, the VAT does describe it as a variant of Thor’s brother, but one can think that it does not have the infused science and that it can also make mistakes.

All these details as well as the final sequence of episode 2 already make our mouths water for episode 3, available next Wednesday.
