the long-awaited next installment of the cult fighting game saga is revealed in an ultra-violent first trailer

Last March, fans of Dragon Ball were thrilled to learn that the famous saga of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi was going to make a comeback, with Bandai Namco announcing the arrival of a whole new video game and this, after nearly 16 years of waiting. But even more recently, lovers of versus fighting (ie: fighting games) have also learned another very good news, since another cult franchise also announced the arrival of a brand new opus, through a ultra-violent first trailer which should delight fans.

The franchise of Mortal Kombat is actually about to make a comeback with a brand new video game. As a reminder, the fighting game series debuted in 1992 with the first installment of Mortal Kombat, originally developed by Midway. The title then had the ambition to compete with the equally famous Street Fighter by Capcom. You learned about the closing of Midway in 2009, NetherRealm Studios took over.

The latest title in the franchise is none other than Mortal Kombat 11, released in 2019. This is why some fans were eagerly waiting for an announcement about an upcoming installment. And it seems their wishes have finally come true, since Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have made the announcement we’ve all been waiting forand this through a first trailer presenting the new opus of the saga Mortal Kombat.

We thus discover that the franchise will be entitled to a reboot, since the next game will not be the Mortal Kombat 12 so anticipated, but a new game called Mortal Kombat 1. A choice that could thus mark the beginning of a new era for this very popular license. Because in the description of the trailer, we can see that he mentioned a “new combat system”, as well as “new game modes”.
