The director of brand & communication at NOS, Rita Torres Baptista, presides over the jury for this year’s Efficiency Awards, whose registration opens this Friday. The start of the application phase is marked, at the Rectory of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, with a session that will be led by Ricardo Assunção Torres, recently appointed secretary general of the Portuguese Association of Advertisers (APAN).
The remaining team of judges is made up of Luísa Oliveira (Henkel), Mónica Sousa (Ikea), Ana Allen Lima (CUF), Nádia Lopes Reis (Continente), Rafael Buciani (The Office), Manuel Gravata (NTTData), Inês Mateus de Almeida (Tux & Gill), Leandro Alvarez (Lola Normajean), Rui Freire (Initiative), Nuno Santos (Pitagórica) and Nuno Antunes (APAN Academy).
The main novelty of this year’s edition is a new category – Data Driven – in which the aim is to evaluate actions that result from the application of data and technology to identify and match the right audience, with the right media and message, at the right times.
This Friday’s session, whose theme is “Retail media, the retail revolution to media business: overview and what to expect”, also features João Ribeiro, from the Stream and Tough Guy agency, who will share the campaign in detail CO2AT, winner of the last edition of the awards.
Ricardo Assunção Torres, general secretary of APAN, states that “it is with great joy that we signal the start of yet another edition of the Efficiency Awards. This initiative, which over the years has valued the joint work of advertisers and their agencies, has placed the value of effective communication in business results on the industry’s agenda. It is truly efficiency that we are talking about. From the first idea to the last of the results, the Efficacy Awards evaluate in detail the communication actions: objectives, strategy, creation, implementation, planning and finally the results actually achieved”.
