Skagen has created a wrist unit that is a hybrid between a smartwatch and a wristwatch. The so-called Jorn Hybrid HR offers an e-ink screen, GPS, heart rate monitor, automatic activity recognition, and sleep and exercise mapping.
Battery life is up to two weeks on a single charge. Charging the battery from empty level to 80% takes 50 minutes according to Skagen. Jorn Hybrid HR is sold in sizes 42mm and 38mm and with varying colors and bracelets. The construction is water resistant (3ATM) but should not be included during swimming trips.
The panel can display notifications from a connected smartphone. The timer itself is physical. The dial can be adapted so that it shows, for example, the current weather forecast, date, current heart rate or number of steps. The watch will be available January 26 for $ 195.
