The IT consulting house Bornerups in Thisted is taken over by the Søe-Larsen brothers

For more than 30 years, the IT consulting house has Bornerups in Thisted delivered IT solutions that have removed heavy manual workflows in Danish companies and thus freed up more time for what creates value.

From 1 January, it is the brothers Casper and Carsten Søe-Larsen who have sat at the end of the table.

They take over the company from Christian Søe-Larsen, who is today the sole owner of the company. Bornerups was founded in 1988 by Niels Henrik Bornerup as Bornerups Kontor & Datacenter A / S. Christian Søe-Larsen, who was involved from the start, has been the sole owner of the company since 2013. He now sells it on to two of his children.

– We look forward to continuing the innovative journey and to continuing to develop Bornerups into one of the best consulting houses targeted at e.g. SMEs that have a great need to incorporate time and cost-saving IT solutions into their day-to-day operations. These are often smaller companies with great potential and where it is more important than ever to free up forces for the development of the company instead of being stuck in heavy administration, say the two new owners Casper and Carsten Søe-Larsen.

Ambitious growth plans

The two brothers will – in addition to nurturing existing and loyal customers – continue out of the growth path they, along with Bornerups’ other management, have followed in recent years.

– In September, we entered into a strategic collaboration with Dutch Boltrics, which means that we must represent the company in the Danish market. We are already experiencing great interest in Boltrics’ high-end software solution, which is tailored to logistics providers who have already shown their worth to the logistics companies, Casper Søe-Larsen points out.

In addition, Bornerups will continue the work of developing new ways of working to attract the right talent to the company.

– We actually closed down our physical offices in the known form back in March and gave our employees the opportunity to move the office home permanently and then show up physically as needed. It has been a great way of working, and we continue to develop it. The dive in efficiency, which many fear, has not materialized with us and the employees are really happy with the initiative, says Carsten Søe-Larsen.

Humble in the face of the transfer

Christian Søe-Larsen resigns from the ownership, but continues his daily work in Bornerups A / S. Christian’s wife Mona Søe-Larsen also continues her work in Bornerups A / S as a receptionist.

Both Casper and Carsten Søe-Larsen are both humble about the company transfer.

– The company has been our father’s whole life and Bornerups has always been a part of our lives. We look forward to further developing the company together with our employees and see an exciting and bright future ahead, Casper and Carsten Søe-Larsen conclude.

Casper and Carsten Søe-Larsen took over Bornerups A / S from 1 January 2022. The takeover will be marked with a reception on 28 January 2022.
