Tampere – The hockey players of France beat Austria 2:1 in overtime at the World Championship in Tampere. The match of Group A was decided in 60:39 by Sacha Treille, who also played in the Czech Extraliga in the past. Two Canadian points were scored by Tim Bozon and Florian Chakiachvili.

The Austrians had the advantage of the power play right at the start, but they were unable to use it. In addition, Addamo, returning from the penalty bench, got into the break, but did not finish exactly. The same happened to defender Onno in the 7th minute.
